Have you ever wondered what torsion trailer axles are and why you need them for your trailer to work properly? Here is how torsion trailer axles work. Look for a steel rod in your house, a longer piece of pipe is excellent. Try bending it in half and imagine how the force acts on the pipe. You take the wheel on that part off, take the hub down and the axle should come right out. Of course, the broken part will still be there but be smart and use a magnet to pull it out. It should be simple and fast.

Torsion trailer axles are and will be the way to go for vehicles that don't move very fast but have to carry large loads. Mostly because of the low costs of production and maintenance, these mechanical parts will probably never be replaced as a technology, especially in trailers. They were the first to provide with suspension for heavy vehicles, and, before flying cars are invented, they will be the last.
